What's the Plan?

 

Ecoguate wants to set up a Veterinary Clinic in Quetzaltenango city aka Xelahu, 2d. largest city in Guatemala.

It is going to be used to treat injured wildlife and as teching center on wildlife care.

Also as a center for treating the local zoo animal population.

As a collateral, on control of population of wildlife predators, such as roaming street dogs.For that, We will implement a spay-neuter-release program for street dogs.

Among the first material resources needed are:

- Pick up truck 4 WD used. Being provided by Executive Director of Ecoguate.

- Anesthesia machine. Aprox. cost: $2000.

-X ray machine. Aprox. cost: $2000.00

-Anesthesia and Meds. Cost: $1500.00

-Gun and darts Cost: $1000.00

-Suture Materials: $ 500.00

-Others : $ 1000.00

 

Another project We would like to start in order to produce fund for our cause,is to start a recycling center for plastic bottles and plastic in general.

 

  • Financing the Organization.
    Help us with donations
    Our organization is working initially with donations but at this very moment, We are developing projects that can bring money to Ecoguate coffers. It will take time, that is the reason We need you collaboration to start working on the enviroment protection.
    Autofinancing
    1. Plastic Recycling Center.
    In these towns, plastic recicling it is not mandatory yet. Bed rivers and creeks are filled with plastic bottles, plastic bags, tires, all sort of plastic items. In Guatemala city, We contacted recycling centers, that will buy what we collect.
    We are contacting schools, religious groups, youth groups to help on the collection process. It will be for Ecoguate to transport the plastic to Guatemala city. Down the road We are planing to get a compactor.
    2. Ecoguate Tours.
    A project in the drawing table. We want to provide transportation and guides to Guatemalan groups in order to visit our own country. It has been done in a small scale with good results. Profits from such enterprise will go to ecoguate coffers.
