We are a non profit organization based in Guatemala. Our mission is to provide education on wildlife and environment to our people. Trying to reach a balance between humans and nature.

We are committed to act in the Guatemalan highlands, mainly in the cities of Quetzaltenango  y Huehuetenango. Our most important objective is to be a source of ideas, projects and solutions on preserving what is left of our wildlife. Collectively with education on environment friendly practices in order to accomplish wildlife preservation. Our people, with our Mayan ancestry, are by nature, inclined to love and nourish mother Earth. 

We wanto to retake our role as Guards and Protectors or our enviroment, consequently helping our Global Village.

Following the environmentalism motto "Think globally, Act locally"  We decided to do our part in our own country. 

We need financial help to do it .

I know for a fact, that many people living in the industrialized countries can help more to the environment cause. Are you one of them? Do you care about our plastic trash floating in the ocean? What about the deforestation of our rain forest?

There is not an easy or fast solution. We need to start now, a.s.a.p. We firmly believe that EDUCATION is key to make people  aware of the changes needed to support and not destroy the environment and with it our fauna and flora. Education through action is what ecoguate.org is committed to. Guatemala with one of the highest rates of illiteracy  in the world and high birth rates needs all the help it can get.
